Mar 11, Kathmandu- Due to insufficient rainfall, the sky over the Kathmandu Valley have become overcast and air pollution has also increased.
Meteorologist Binu Maharjan said that the rain has not been falling due to the influence of local winds and the western low-pressure system, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.
“There has been snowfall and light rain in some parts of the country, but there has not been enough rain to remove the pollution,” she said. “It looks like it will continue like this for another three days.”
According to the 'Air Quality Index', Kathmandu has been listed as the fifth most polluted city in the world today. Today, the air pollution here has reached 163 AQI.
Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, has been listed as the most polluted city in the world, followed by Beijing, China. The third most polluted city is Dhaka, Bangladesh, and the fourth most polluted city is New Delhi, India.
