Plane Caught Fire Shortly After It Diverted And Landed In The US

Mar 14, Kathmandu- A plane has caught fire shortly after it diverted and landed in the US.

On Thursday evening, the plane of American Airlines was diverted and shortly after landing at the Denver airport in the state of Colorado, the plane's engine caught fire.

American Airlines Flight 4012, a Boeing 737-800, departed from Colorado Springs Airport to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The plane was diverted and landed at Denver Airport after an engine malfunction was detected during the flight.

After landing, the plane's engine caught fire before passengers could disembark, and smoke was also coming out of the interior.

The airport itself was covered in smoke. American media outlet CNN reported that passengers had climbed out of windows and were sitting on the wings of the plane.

In a video released by CNN, passengers are seen standing on the wings of the plane. As they stood on the wings, smoke and flames were coming out of the plane.

Security personnel deployed at the airport used ladders to lower the passengers from the wing of the plane.

CNN reported that there were 172 passengers on board, including six crew members.

It is said that the fire was extinguished in time due to the active efforts of security personnel and firefighters deployed at the airport, and there were no casualties.
