Mar 15, Kathmandu- Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has suggested that the government should exercise restraint in the matter of removing Kulman Ghising, the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority.
While the government has been repeatedly seeking clarification on the removal of Kulman, General Secretary Sharma said that the government should not indulge in adding fuel to the fire of discontent. He has opposed not only the issue of Kulman but also the government's preparations to provide lifelong facilities to former special officers. He said that a bill to provide lifelong facilities to former special officers will not be passed.
He said, "If it comes to adding financial burden, it will not be passed. That's a precise and clear cut matter! The government itself should not indulge in adding fuel to the fire of discontent! Be it the question of providing facilities to former special officers or the issue of removing the MD of the Electricity Authority, the government should exercise restraint!"
