Mar 15, Kathmandu- The National Democratic Youth Front, close to the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has burned a picture of Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', the chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center.

Prachanda's picture was burned at a program organized in Hetauda on Saturday.

The organization's member secretary, Nirajan Bam Patala, burned Prachanda's picture at the program. While setting fire to Prachanda's picture, he raised the slogan of republicanism.

He had asked the participants of the program to chant slogans calling Prachanda a murderer.

The National Democratic Youth Front burned Prachanda's picture in protest over Prachanda's statement made in Sindhupalchowk last Friday. Prachanda had called former King Gyanendra Shah a murderer of his own dynasty and a statue thief.
