Driver Dies In Ambulance Accident While Returning From Hospital After Transporting Patient

Mar 16, Kathmandu- The driver has died in an ambulance accident in Budhiganga, Morang. The driver died in an ambulance accident last night in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-3 along the Koshi Highway.

The ambulance (Ko 1 Cha 4774) of Manmaya Shrestha Memorial Foundation, Morang, was heading towards Nemuwa from Ganga Chowk when it hit a road divider.

The ambulance driver, 24-year-old Ashish Rai, a resident of Budhiganga-2 in Panchawati, Udayapur, died in the accident, said Morang Traffic Police Chief Rajan Lamsal.

The driver, Rai, was seriously injured in the accident and died during treatment at Birat Medical College, police said.

The ambulance accident occurred while the driver was returning home after taking a patient to the hospital.
