Mar 16, Kathmandu- Two people have been found dead in the Palpa area of the Kaligandaki River. The District Police Office, Palpa, has stated that two men were found dead in Baganaskali Rural Municipality on the Kaligandaki River.
Bhojraj Aslami Magar, 26, of Golachaur Rural Municipality-6 in Sindhuli, and Tej Bahadur Raskoti, 45, of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-3 in Dang, were found dead in the Kaligandaki River, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Malla.
Both of the deceased were laborers working on the Kaligandaki Corridor road section. The deceased Aslami had been working as a dozer operator on the same road section while staying at a temporary camp on the Kaligandaki Corridor road section in Darpuk, Baganaskali Rural Municipality-6.
He had eaten dinner on the evening of last Falgun 26 and slept in the camp with his friends, but when he looked at the Vistara on the morning of the 27th, he was not there and was found dead 5 days later on Saturday night during a search, according to the police.
Raskoti, who was found dead in the Kaligandaki River, had disappeared after drowning while bathing on the banks of the river. Deputy Superintendent of Police Malla said that he was found dead in the water 200 meters below the scene of the incident. After the initial investigation, Aslami's body was sent to the Teaching Hospital Kathmandu for a post-mortem and Raskoti's body to the District Hospital, according to the Palpa police.
