Mar 18, Kathmandu- The new Nepali film 'Draupadi', which will be released on Chaitra 8, is being selected for various international film festivals one after another. Now this film has also been selected for a festival to be held in Hungary.
The film, directed by Rishiraj Acharya, has been selected for the ‘Papa International Historical Film Festival’ to be held in Hungary from April 23 to 27.
The writer and director of the film, Rishiraj Acharya, says that he is very happy that his much-awaited film has been selected for international festivals. Director Acharya wants to give the credit to the entire unit of the film for Draupadi’s continuous success in international festivals.
The film Draupadi, whose script was prepared after four years, has been shot in Karnali, including She Phoksundo Lake in Dolpa.
The production side claims that the subject raised in the film is completely new. Due to this, director Acharya is confident that the film's storyline will touch the hearts of the audience.
In addition, director Acharya says that the film has become very excellent and is confident that this kind of original film will be selected in other festivals as well as receiving awards.
The film also stars Ashwini Shahi, Ravi Ode, Kabiraj Bham, Gelson Adhikari, Sujata Timalsina, Bishnu Thadrai, Prakash Gyawali, Sita Baudel, Suraj Adhikari and Rishiraj Acharya himself. The story, screenplay, dialogues, songs and direction of the film are by Rishiraj Acharya.
