Mar 20, Kathmandu- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced the success of its mediation efforts in a new prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine.

The UAE said that the mediation talks, which led to the exchange of a total of 350 prisoners between the two countries (175 Ukrainian prisoners and 175 Russian prisoners), were successful, in accordance with the latest agreement. This brings the total number of prisoner exchanges mediated by the UAE since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine to 233.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has praised the coordination between Russia and Ukraine in supporting the mediation efforts. This reflects the appreciation of both countries for the role of the UAE in supporting all efforts to resolve the crisis between the two countries.
