Krantikari Warns Of agitation if SWU elections are not held immediately at TU Central Campus

Mar 21, Kathmandu- The Akhil Krantikari, close to the CPN-Maoist, has demanded that the ISU election process be immediately carried out at the Tribhuvan University Central Campus. Tribhuvan University District Committee Chairman Dinesh issued a statement demanding that the election process be immediately carried out.

The TU ISU election scheduled for Falgun 5 has become uncertain. The election on February 5 was postponed to February 8. However, that too has become uncertain and has been postponed until the 10th.

Due to internal disputes within the Nepali Congress, the election process was locked from the beginning. Due to which the election process on the 5th was stopped. Although the lock was opened after that, the election has become uncertain before the 10th after a case was filed in the Patan High Court.

As a result, Krantikari has condemned the deprivation of the right to vote of more than 6,000 students studying at the university. Krantikari has objected to the fact that the ISU elections could not be held on time at the university due to internal conflicts within an organization.

The statement said that it is necessary for students studying at the university to identify and recognize such anti-suffrage organizations in a timely manner.

They demanded that the ISU elections be held on time in a free, fair and fearless environment to ensure the voting rights of students studying at the university. Otherwise, they warned that they would be forced to join any revolutionary movement along with thousands of students to gain their voting rights.
