Mar 21, Kathmandu- Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba has said that India's cooperation is with the democratic system.
Foreign Minister Rana, who returned home on Friday after participating in various programs organized in India, also said that there was no discussion on political issues.
Stating that there was no agenda to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she said that there was a meeting with her counterpart, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
"It was difficult to meet only the foreign minister of a country at the program, we did not even have an agenda to meet the Indian Prime Minister," she said. "We had requested a meeting with the foreign minister as our counterpart, the meeting took place, and he welcomed us well."
She said that although there was no discussion on political developments, India's support seems to be in favor of the democratic system.
"We didn't talk much about the political activities here, but it is important to understand from their every activity that they have the support of the democratic system," she said. "They are working together with the current government. To be honest, I don't see any intention to change the government."
Foreign Minister Rana was asked by a journalist about various activities being carried out by the royalists in Nepal. In response, she said that it is understood that India's support is within the democratic system.
