Former king from said - The country needs peace

Mar 22, Kathmandu- Former King Gyanendra Shah today offered prayers at the Gorakhkali Temple and wished for happiness and prosperity in the country.

Former King Shah, who reached Gorkha today, spoke to the media after offering prayers at the temple and informed that he wished for the happiness and prosperity of the nation. He said that the country needs peace now and no one should think ill of anyone. He also said that he was happy to come to Gorkha. He also said that no one in the country should be afraid to do anything now. He said, "No one should be afraid to do anything. May the peace of the country remain. May the country be happy. I wish everyone happiness and prosperity".

Former King Shah reached the Gorakhnath Temple in the Gorkha Durbar at 10 am on Saturday. He was welcomed by the temple priests there. Former King Shah spent about 2 hours offering prayers at the Gorakhnath and Gorakhkali temples. Gorakhnath has a special connection with the royal lineage of the Shah dynasty kings. It is said that the kings of that time won the war with his blessings. In the annals, it is written that Dravya Shah was able to conquer Ligligkot due to the blessings and inspiration of Gorakhnath.
