Mar 23, Kathmandu- New Zealand have won the T20 cricket series against Pakistan with one match to spare. New Zealand took a 3-1 lead in the five-match series after registering a comprehensive 115-run victory in the fourth match on Sunday.
Batting first in the match at Mount Maunganui, New Zealand scored 220 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Finn Allin made 50 runs off 20 balls, captain Michael Braswell remained unbeaten on 46 off 26 balls and Tim Seifert scored 44 runs off 22 balls.
Pakistan's Haris Rauf took 3 wickets.
In reply, Pakistan could only score 105 runs after being all out in 16.2 overs. Jacob Duffy took 4 wickets and Zachary Falkes took 3 wickets while destroying the innings of Abdul Samad who top-scored with 44 runs.
The final match of the series will be played on Wednesday. Earlier, New Zealand had won the first two matches and Pakistan had won the third match.
