Mar 23, Kathmandu- CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has made it clear that the Nepali Congress and the UML have not come together just to run the government.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 10th General Convention of Press Chautari Nepal in Biratnagar today, he said this. Stating that the economy, which was 300 billion during the king's rule, has now become 5.7 trillion, he asked, "Isn't this an achievement of the republic?"
He also said that the country cannot return to the time of the Panchayat.
