PM Cup: Madhesh and Gandaki's match ends in a 'tie'

Mar 24, Kathmandu- Madhesh Pradesh and Gandaki Pradesh played out an exciting draw in the PM Cup One-Day Cricket. The match ended in a 'tie' despite both teams scoring 246 runs in the stipulated overs.

Both teams were out of the final race. Batting first after winning the toss, Madhesh Pradesh scored 246 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Three players from Madhes scored half centuries.

Rohit BK scored the highest 64 runs, while Harishankar Shah scored 51 runs and Rupesh Singh also played an unbeaten half-century of 51 runs. Similarly, Pawan Sharraf scored 33 runs while Sonya Sah added 15 runs.

When Arjun Kumal was dismissed for the eighth wicket, Gandaki had scored 194 runs in 43.5 overs. Arjun was dismissed after playing a century. He faced 140 balls and scored 106 runs with the help of 10 fours and 1 six. After that, Bipin Khatri scored 26 runs in 23 balls and Sudip Aryal played an unbeaten 34 runs in 23 balls.

Gandaki Province failed to win a clear victory after Sandeep Parajuli was run out with one ball remaining in the last over. Gandaki lost all his wickets in 49.5 overs and was stopped at 246 runs, the same as Madhesh Province. With this, Gandaki Province remained at the bottom of the table with 3 points from 9 matches, while Madhesh Province remained at the eighth position with 5 points from the same matches.
