Dead Body Of Girl Missing For 13 Days In Siraha Found Inside A Sack

Mar 25, Kathmandu- The dead body of a girl who had been missing for two or three weeks in Siraha has been found packed in a sack. The body of 13-year-old Gulshana Khatun of Gobindpur, Golbazar Municipality-9 was found inside a sack in a bushy area on the banks of the Ghurmi River.

Gulshana Khatun had been missing since Falgun 29. Locals suspect that the body found on Tuesday is hers. It is not yet certain whether the body is Gulshana's, said DSP Pancha Kumar Bakhu of the Mirchaiya Area Police Office. He said, "We are at the scene. A skeleton was found inside a sack on the banks of the Ghurmi River. We are preparing to send the skeleton for a post-mortem to confirm whether it is Gulshana's."

Khatun, a girl studying in class 4 at a local community school, left her home at 9 am. After that, there was no trace of where she went. After her daughter went missing, Gulshanna's mother, Zaheda Khatun, filed a complaint with the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya, on Chaitra 1, requesting a search.
