Youth Association Accuses KMC Mayor Shah Of Posting Status While Intoxicated

Mar 25, Kathmandu- The Youth Association Nepal, a sister organization of the UML, has warned Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah not to neglect his official responsibilities and disrupt society.

The Metropolitan Committee of the Youth Association issued a press release on Tuesday, warning against making low-level statements and disrupting society for the sake of cheap popularity and gaining likes on social media.

As the employees of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City complained that they had not received their salaries for the past three months, Mayor Balen had threatened to bury them all on Monday night via social media if they did not receive their salaries within the next week. ‘The sanitation employees of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City have not received their salaries for the past 3 months, due to the arrogance of the government! I don’t know who will protest, if our employees do not receive their salaries within the next week, I will bury them all in a coffin!’ He had said, ‘Then we will see what kind of system you all have!!’

After that, today, the Youth Association has also demanded that the concerned bodies bring the mayor, who made objectionable statements, to justice.
