Mar 27, Kathmandu- The Nepali national men's football team returned home on Thursday after playing against Malaysia in the final round of qualifiers under the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers-2027.

Nepal lost to Malaysia 2-0 in the match played on Tuesday. Despite a defensive performance against Malaysia, Nepal was unable to score a goal.

Before playing against Malaysia, Nepal played an international friendly match against Singapore. Nepal defeated Singapore 1-0 in that match on its own ground. Nepal defeated Singapore after 36 years.

Under Group 'F', Nepal will play against Malaysia, Vietnam and Laos on a home and away basis in the third round of Asian Cup qualifiers. The team that finishes at the top of the group will play the Asian Cup.
