Mar 28, Kathmandu- Flights at Tribhuvan International Airport, which were disrupted due to arson by pro-monarchy protesters near the airport area, have resumed. However, airport sources have said that flight/landing management at the airport is under pressure.
Domestic and international flights are only getting their turn to land after a few delays.
The flight was disrupted for about an hour on Friday evening. Security personnel are facilitating air passengers to go to the airport on the basis of identity cards and tickets.
Flights were halted for one hour and 24 minutes (from 4:13 pm to 5:37 pm) citing security reasons after protesters set fire to the airport area.
Protesters lit a fire in front of Sinamangal, the head office of the authority. The airport was closed due to security reasons as the fire entered the airport area as well.
