Mar 28, Kathmandu- The government has deployed a team from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nepal Police to arrest Durga Prasai, commander of the Joint People's Movement Committee (JPMC) for the Restoration of the Monarchy.
In a briefing held by the heads of security agencies with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the security officer informed that the police have been mobilized to arrest Prasai, who is the main planner of the Tinkune incident.
The government alleges that JPMC commander Prasai not only encouraged the mob to commit violent acts but also attempted to kill police officers by running them over with his vehicle. According to police officials, it is not yet known where he is staying now.
