Mar 29, Kathmandu- Armed Police Force has taken two people into custody with 8 kg of opium from Pathlaiya Chowk in Simara Sub-metropolitan City-1 of Bara.

The arrested persons are Milan Bholan, 44, and Gopal Prasad Gautam, 47, of Ramantar, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-12, Makawanpur district.

They were travelling in an electric vehicle (Bagmati Province 01-029 Cha 5414) heading towards Birgunj from Hetauda and were taken into custody with opium based on a special information from the Armed Police Force Intelligence Bureau.

In addition, 63,360 Nepalese rupees, 3 mobile phones and other items have been recovered from them.

Both the arrested persons, along with the seized narcotics, vehicles and other items, have been handed over to the concerned authorities for necessary action.
