Nepali Congress Protests Against Pro-monarchy Protesters Violent Movement

Mar 29, Kathmandu- The Trichandra Campus unit of the Nepal Students' Union (NSU), a sister organization of the Nepali Congress, has demonstrated against the violent agitation of the royalists.

The NSU held a corner meeting in front of the campus on Saturday, chanting slogans. The candidates for the post of NSU president, Bibek Baniya and Shreedhar Shrestha, delivered speeches at the program.

NSU leader Ashok Dhami said that the program was organized to neutralize the criminal activities that were being carried out against the federal democratic republic. Central member Kesharjung Bam said that the organization is aware of the opposition to the monarchy that was cremated decades ago.

Expressing tribute to journalist Suresh Rajak and Kirtipur resident Sabin Maharjan, who were killed during the Kon Sabha movement, the NSU had raised slogans in favor of the republic.
