Mar 31, Kathmandu- UML is holding awareness meetings and rallies nationwide today in favor of the republic. UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel informed that the UML has issued a circular to hold rallies and meetings in all districts and district headquarters.

Following the issuance of the directive by the Center, meetings and rallies are being held in each district and district headquarters to express determination in favor of the democratic republic, informed UML Ramechhap Secretary Prakash Kumar Karki.

He said, "This is a rally against regression. This campaign in favor of the republic will continue. Let us unite all parties and civil society in favor of democracy and against the evil attempts of regression."

Meanwhile, a joint motorcycle rally has been organized in the Kathmandu Valley. The motorcycle rally is starting at 4 pm in Tinkune. UML has urged people to participate at a convenient place.
