Mar 31, Kathmandu- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has paid tribute to former ambassador and senior journalist Kamal Koirala.

Prime Minister Oli paid tribute to Koirala at the party office of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) in Aloknagar today. The mortal body of Koirala was kept at the party central office of CPN (Unified Socialist) for last respects.

Koirala, a member of the Politburo of the CPN (Unified Socialist), passed away on Sunday night at the age of 87. His last rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat today. Koirala, who was also a journalist, writer and diplomat, died in the hospital during treatment after he was paralyzed.
