Mar 31, Kathmandu- A week-long 'national mourning' has been declared in Myanmar, which suffered huge financial losses due to the devastating earthquake on March 28.
Myanmar will observe a period of national mourning from today until April 6, according to the AFP news agency. During this period, the national flag will be flown at half-mast at government offices.
According to the World Health Organization, hospitals in Myanmar are overwhelmed with the injured. Several hospitals have also been damaged by the earthquake.
