Apr 01, Kathmandu- The Socialist Front has held a peaceful protest in Kathmandu. Parties affiliated to the Socialist Front took out rallies from various places in Kathmandu.

The processions that came from different places turned into a protest rally on the exhibition road. The rally was addressed by CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal Netra Bikram Chand, and Chairman of the Nepal Samajwadi Party Mahendra Raya Yadav. The Samajwadi Front claims that 50,000 people participated in the demonstration. The Home Ministry, however, has stated that 35,000 people participated in the Samajwadi Front's demonstration.
