Apr 03, Kathmandu- The 11th meeting of the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences has approved the action plan for operating a 50-bed satellite hospital in Rakam Karnali in Aathbiskot Municipality of Dailekh.
The meeting held today at the Prime Minister's Residence, Baluwatar, approved the action plan to move forward with the necessary process to implement the decision of the Government of Nepal's Council of Ministers to upgrade the existing 15-bed hospital at that location. The Institute will propose to the Government of Nepal and other parties to ensure the infrastructure, human resources and resources of the hospital.
In the meeting, Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Foundation KP Sharma Oli directed to expedite the work by consulting and collaborating with the concerned local levels regarding the action plan.
He assured that the government of Nepal has fully invested in the institute since its inception, and that the government will provide all possible support for the smooth health services of the people there after the hospital is upgraded.
The budget for the remaining period of the current fiscal year of the institute was passed in the assembly meeting, and the report of the internal auditor of the last fiscal year was presented.
