Apr 04, Kathmandu- Indian actor Manoj Kumar passed away at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital on Friday morning. He was 87 years old. He was 87. He was known for his patriotic films. He was also known by the name of Bharat Kumar. His successful films included Upkaar, Purvapaschim, Kranti, Roti-Kapada and Makan.
According to Manoj Kumar's son Kunal Goswami, he had been suffering from health problems for a long time. His funeral will be held on Saturday.
Manoj Kumar had had cirrhosis of the liver for a long time. He was admitted to the hospital in February after his condition deteriorated.
Manoj Kumar has won 7 Filmfare Awards. His first Filmfare Award was in 1968 for the film Upkaar. Upkaar won four Filmfare Awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Story and Best Dialogue. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1992. He was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2016.
