Apr 04, Kathmandu- China has responded to the US with tariffs.

China responded on Friday after US President Donald Trump announced an additional 34 percent tariff on Chinese products in a move that would impose tariffs on all countries on Wednesday.

China has also decided to impose an additional 34 percent tariff on American products on top of the current tariff rate, according to the South China Morning Post.

China's State Council said the tariffs will take effect on April 10.

Earlier, China's Ministry of Commerce issued a statement urging the United States to immediately remove the tariffs and resolve disputes with trading partners through fair and equitable dialogue.

The trade war between the world's two largest economies is set to intensify after both countries imposed tariffs.
