Apr 05, Kathmandu- The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is going to launch a phased movement for the release of those arrested on Chaitra 15.
According to RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha, a Bagmati Province-level power show will be held in Kathmandu on March 26 and various other programs will be held. The RPP is still agitating for the release of the arrested. The RPP had taken out torchlight processions across the country after giving 24 hours to the arrested. After that, RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden, who demonstrated at Maitighar Mandal, submitted a memorandum to Acting Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh yesterday. The RPP is demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, concluding that the government is responsible for the Tinkune protest turning violent. The RPP has prepared for the power show on Chaitra 26, demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, suspension of the concerned police and administrative leadership officials, among other demands.
