Apr 06, Kathmandu- US President Donald Trump has again extended the deadline for the sale of Chinese social media app Tiktok. With the decision, Tiktok will remain off sale in the US for another 75 days.
He said that China must sell the app for Tiktok to operate in the US.
Earlier, President Trump had said that if a deal is reached to sell Tiktok, he could also give some relief on the tariffs imposed on Chinese imports.
In the US, many Tiktok users are against the decision to ban this app.
According to a report by the news agency Reuters this week, China has indicated that it will not allow TikTok to be sold in the US after Trump's tariff announcement.
Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader who opposes Trump in the US Senate, said the president only brought up the issue to divert attention from the tax issue.
Critics often accuse TikTok of collecting excessive data.
