Apr 10, Kathmandu- The three-day Third International Transport Conference is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu. The Third International Transport Conference is scheduled to be held in the capital from Chaitra 29 to 31. It is said that more than 300 delegates will participate in the conference, which is being jointly organized by the Society of Transport Engineers Nepal (SOTEN), the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and the Ministry of Urban Development.
Soten has stated that the conference is being organized with the main slogan "Towards Safe, Sustainable, Efficient and Resilient Mobility".
In a press conference organized on Wednesday to provide information about the conference, SOTEN Chairman Dr. Hareram Shrestha expressed confidence that the conference would be fruitful in addressing the existing problems and solutions in Nepal's transport sector. The conference, which will last for three days at Hotel Yak and Yeti, will feature 16 sessions on various topics in the transport sector.
The conference, which representatives from 12 countries will attend, will feature 22 international and 45 speakers. The conference will discuss international practices and the need to improve Nepal's transport sector, said Hemant Tiwari, general secretary of SOTEN.
