Apr 13, Kathmandu- A woman who was issued a red notice has been arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport. The arrested person has been identified as Bindu Pariyar, 30, of Sat Dhure Darwarmarg, Gorkha Municipality-6, Gorkha.

She was in Malaysia for foreign employment and was arrested with the coordination of the Nepal Police Headquarters Interpol Branch and the assistance of the Tribhuvan International Airport Office while returning to Nepal.

She had a relationship with a man through social media and was planning to marry her. After the relationship broke down, she created a fake ID using a name and photo matching the man's Facebook profile name and continuously defamed her lover, his wife, and even her close relatives. The victim filed a complaint with the bureau.

A case was registered against him on Paush 3, 2080 for an offense under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2006. It has been submitted to the District Court, Kathmandu, today for court proceedings.
