Apr 14, Kathmandu- Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the languages spoken in Nepal should be preserved. At a program organized by the Deuda Society in Kathmandu on Monday on the occasion of Bisu Parva, he stressed the need to preserve them, saying that various languages spoken in the country are on the verge of disappearing.
He argued that if the language of a community starts to disappear, the community and society will become weak and fragmented. Stating that the language of the Far West is on the verge of disappearing, he suggested the Deuda Society to work on preserving the language.
He said that people all over the world are serious about saving their languages, they should also work on saving the languages spoken in the country.
