Rector Prof. KC Takes Over Responsibility Of TU Vice Chancellor

Apr 15, Kathmandu- The responsibility of the Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University has been given to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Khadga KC.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the Chancellor, has given Dr. KC the responsibility of the Vice Chancellor until further notice.

The post was vacant after the resignation of the previous Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Keshar Jung Baral.

KC, from Parbat Modi Rural Municipality-5, is an international relations and diplomacy expert. Earlier, his work at the Department of International Relations of Tribhuvan University was considered excellent.

He was recommended as the ambassador to Japan in 1972, but could not be appointed immediately due to the change of government. He was given responsibility based on merit base.

KC, who completed his Masters, PhD and Post Doctorate from Nagasaki University on a Japanese government scholarship, is a visiting professor and foreign policy fellow at various foreign universities.

He is a visiting professor at Shanghai University, Sichuan University, Yunnan University in China and a board member of SAARC University, New Delhi.

He has also served on the editorial board of several international journals.
