Apr 15, Kathmandu- Rain has fallen in various parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported light to moderate rainfall in most parts of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
Meteorologist of the Mahashakha, Min Kumar Aryal, said that the rain with thunder has started due to the influence of the westerly wind and the current local wind activity. “It is expected to last for two hours, there is no possibility of heavy rain”, he said, adding, “The weather will remain cloudy until Thursday with the possibility of light to moderate rain”.
The Division has stated that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces and one or two places in the remaining areas until Wednesday morning.
There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country and the thunder and lightning, rain and snowfall may affect daily life, agriculture, health, road and air transport, so the Division has also urged people to take necessary measures and be vigilant to avoid the possible impact.
