Community Schools Across The Country Closed As Teachers Go On Strike

Apr 17, Kathmandu- Teachers nationwide have been on street protests for 16 days. The ongoing protest led by the Nepal Teachers' Federation is becoming more aggressive.

This has affected community schools across the country, including the Valley. Even though the new academic session has begun, the admission program has not yet begun.

The Federation has issued an order for teachers and staff from the districts to come to Kathmandu to participate in the protest.

Schools are now completely closed as the Federation leaders have been monitoring teachers and staff who are not participating in the protest and are running schools.
