Inhumane and heinous crimes committed during the conflict cannot be forgiven: Prime Minister

Apr 17, Kathmandu- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that inhuman and heinous crimes committed during the conflict cannot be forgiven while finalizing transitional justice.

Inaugurating the sixth national convention of the Nepal Ex-Servicemen and Police Organization on Thursday, Oli claimed that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission for the Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons will work to provide justice to the victims.

He said that there would be no further delay in the process of forming the commissions, adding that since the country has been defeated and has transitioned to a democratic system, any kind of murder, violence, religious incitement, and anarchy will no longer be acceptable due to any misguidance.

Prime Minister Oli said that national unity with social harmony is necessary in a diverse country and that since the UML is leading that work, the ex-military and police organisations should further strengthen their loyalty to the country and the party.
