5 films in April: From the historical 'Jaar' to the social story 'Jhilko'

Apr 17, Kathmandu- The year 2081 was historic for Nepali films. Many Nepali films did good business that year when Nepali films surpassed Hindi films. Statistics show that this has also increased film production. It is natural that after film production increases, the screenings will also increase. However, it does not seem to have much impact in Baisakh. Because the number of films released in Baisakh is only 5.

No new Nepali films are releasing in the first week, i.e. Friday, the 5th. It seems that the films ‘Pitamber’ and ‘Karma’, which were released on Chaitra 29, will continue on this date. ‘Pitamber’ is currently doing good business.

While two films are being prepared to be released in the second week, i.e. on Friday, the 12th of Baisakh, ‘Bhuthan’ and ‘Khel’, the release date of the only film ‘Jhilko’ is set for the third week, i.e. on the 19th.

Even though it is currently single, it cannot be said that a new film will not be released to compete with ‘Jhilko’ by the release date. Similarly, two films ‘Wool Sweater’ and ‘Jaar’ have set release dates for Friday, the 26th of Baisakh. As of the time of writing, it has been confirmed that the audience will be able to watch 5 new films this Baisakh.
