Hamas Rejects Israel's New Ceasefire Proposal

Apr 18, Kathmandu- Hamas has formally rejected Israel's new ceasefire proposal.

Hamas said it was ready to negotiate an agreement to end the war in exchange for the release of all remaining hostages and the release of Palestinian prisoners.

Hamas’s chief negotiator, Khalil al-Hayya, issued a statement via video. “We will not accept any agreement that fulfills Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political agenda”, he said.

Israel has called for a 45-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of the ten hostages.

The Hamas-run health ministry said a few hours ago that 37 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike. However, the Israeli army has not yet said anything on the matter.
