Apr 18, Kathmandu- Representatives of the Teachers' Federation, which is agitating over demands related to the School Education Bill, are scheduled to meet Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli this evening.
The prime minister has given time for the meeting at 7 pm today. The teachers are preparing to inform about their main demands during the meeting.
There are signs that the federation may reconsider the stages of the movement. Similarly, the talks with the Prime Minister are seen as decisive.
The federation's team is engaged in final preparations and strategic discussions before the meeting with the Prime Minister.
The protest led by the Teachers' Federation has been ongoing in Kathmandu for the past 17 days. Despite several rounds of dialogue between the Ministry of Education and the Federation, no concrete agreement has been reached yet.
Meanwhile, the government has called a parliament meeting on Baisakh 12 with the School Education Bill as the main agenda to address the demands of teachers. But the leaders of the Federation are still not convinced.
