Apr 19, Kathmandu- The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology has announced the last date for submitting applications for the National ICT Awards (National ICT Awards) tomorrow. The ministry had earlier issued a notification and set the deadline for applications till 5 pm on 7th Baisakh.

This year, the ministry is preparing to distribute awards in various categories. The awards include the National ICT Excellence Award 2025, the National ICT Excellence Award 2025 (Women) to encourage women's participation, as well as separate awards for both the public and private sectors. Similarly, separate awards will be given targeting the public and private sectors at the provincial and local levels. In addition, the National ICT Innovation Award 2025 to encourage innovation and the National ICT Startup Award 2025 to support new business ventures will also be given.

The Government of Nepal has been celebrating May 2 every year as National Information and Communication Technology Day to promote and develop information and communication technology. This award distribution program is being held on this occasion in line with the tradition of honoring individuals and institutions or organizations that have made special contributions to the field of information and communication technology.

The Ministry has stated that individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the information and communication technology sector of Nepal will be honored through this time's National Information and Communication Technology Award.

Public bodies, organizations, offices, companies and individuals interested in applying should download and fill the application form available on the website of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology www.mocit.gov.np or the website of the Department of Information Technology www.doit.gov.np. The application form can be sent by email to [email protected] by 5 pm on 2082 BS Baisakh 7 or can be registered with the Ministry's Information Technology Division.
