Apr 20, Kathmandu- CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has said that discussions were held between top leaders of the three parties on the remaining tasks of the peace process.
Speaking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport on Sunday, Chairman Prachanda said that discussions were held on the remaining tasks of the peace process during the discussions with top leaders of the three parties.
"In yesterday's meeting, the Prime Minister raised the issue of the republic," he said. "No one has any doubts about strengthening the republic, we have been in agreement on this from the beginning."
He also said that an attempt was being made to establish a false narrative that the republic was in danger. Prachanda made it clear that even from the perspective of public opinion, it was not confirmed that the republic was in danger.
He said that the CPN-Maoist Center would support a government led by the Congress. "But in the current situation, it cannot be a question of joining the government or supporting it," Prachanda said.
Claiming that negative things are coming from within the Congress-UML regarding the government, Prachanda said that this government cannot last for long. Prachanda has come to Biratnagar to participate in the conference of the CPN-Maoist Center Biratnagar Committee, which is starting in Biratnagar today.
