RPP MPs Including Lingden Arrested From Singha Durbar

Apr 20, Kathmandu- Police have taken RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden and other lawmakers under control from inside Singha Durbar.

Police have taken into custody RPP Vice Chairman Buddhiman Tamang, Chief Whip Gyanendra Shahi, and MP Deepak Singh, along with Lingden. They had protested against the government from the premises of the parliamentary party office in Singha Dabar.

They were arrested by the police after they protested while leaving the party office and were about to head towards Baneshwor. They had earlier said that they would be arrested en masse.

Their demands include the formation of a judicial inquiry commission into the Tinkune incident and the release of the arrested leaders.
