US Vice President JD Vance Visits India

Apr 21, Kathmandu- US Vice President JD Vance has arrived in India on a four-day visit. US Vice President Vance arrived in India on Monday along with his family.

Vice President Vance's visit comes before an Indian delegation leaves for the US with a draft bilateral trade agreement to tackle tariffs.

Questions have been raised about the future of US relations with India since the start of Donald Trump's second term. President Trump has even called India a tariff king in recent days.

Upon coming to power, US President Trump imposed reciprocal tariffs on all countries before meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

No permanent solution to the tariff issue was reached after Prime Minister Modi met with President Trump. However, bilateral trade talks have begun to create a trade balance between the two countries.
