PM Clarifies That Bidya's Resignation Was Due To Health Reasons

Apr 22, Kathmandu- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has clarified that Minister for Education, Science and Technology Bidya Bhattarai resigned due to health reasons, not disagreement with him.

At a program organized on the occasion of the 76th founding day of the Nepal Communist Party today, Prime Minister Oli referred to the dissatisfaction that was being discussed outside, saying that Minister Bhattarai's resignation was due to the Prime Minister's non-cooperation and neglect, and said, "He is a minister I made. I am assigning work. I am supporting. I am teaching. He has a big ministry, now he resigned because his health is not good. There is no point in making other propaganda about it."

Commenting on the fact that Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba went to Bangkok for a health check-up, Prime Minister Oli said that he would hand over the Prime Ministership to President Deuba after 15 months, as agreed with the UML and the Congress.
