Apr 24, Kathmandu- The Janmat Party led by CK Raut and the Nagarik Unmukti Party, patronized by Resh Chaudhary, are set to merge on Baisakh 27.
Chairman Raut announced the merger and said that the two parties will now move forward stronger. "Since the people's feelings and aspirations are united, we will move forward for unity, unity will happen," Ulane said, "We are preparing for the announcement between the Janmat Party and the Nagarik Unmukti on Baisakh 27."
Earlier, preparations were made to unify by Baisakh 15. However, Raut said that various obstacles have been encountered. "Whether it is by creating a rift in the family, or by using money, vehicles, and resources against party officials, or by writing various news stories in the media to defame and assassinate their character, or by attacking them sometimes in the name of religion or sometimes in the name of caste, or by conspiring to split the party, or by trying to buy off central members and MPs, or by threatening to kill me or have Reshamji arrested again, no stone has been left unturned," he said. "But we are not afraid. You should not be afraid either. Since the people's feelings and aspirations are united, we will move forward for unity. Unity will happen."
Raut has said that the unity between them has awakened many forces and parties, and that this will have a far-reaching impact on Nepal's politics. 'Many parties/forces have awakened now,' he said, 'because a new powerful party that comes from the movement and the people, working for the people, is in the process of emerging in Nepal. An unprecedented union and unity that will have a far-reaching impact on Nepal's politics and has never been seen before in history is taking place.'
