Chief Justice Raut's Foreign Visit cancelled

Apr 24, Kathmandu- Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut has cancelled his foreign trip at the last minute.

His trip to Istanbul, which was scheduled to be held at the friendly invitation of the Chief Justice of Turkey, has been cancelled. He was scheduled to fly at 10:30 this morning. Supreme Court Registrar Bimal Poudel was also scheduled to accompany him.

Supreme Court officials were preparing to go to the airport to bid farewell to the Chief Justice when they suddenly received information that the visit program had been cancelled.

Due to his foreign trip, the hearing of important cases has been postponed.

The hearing of the dispute regarding the appointment of 52 constitutional office bearers, which was continuously being heard, was also scheduled for Baisakh 28 by the Constitutional Bench yesterday due to the Chief Justice's upcoming foreign trip.
