Apr 25, Kathmandu- A woman has died in an accident at Prembasti Chowk in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-7, Chitwan.

A jeep (Na 5 Cha 2644) coming towards Bharatpur hit a scooter (Na 54 Pa 1795) coming from the same direction.

SP Nareshraj Subedi, Head of Bagmati Traffic Police Office informed that 52-year-old Lakshmi Wagle, resident of Bharatpur-6 Indrapuri, died on the spot due to the accident.

The jeep overturned on the road after the accident. The overturned Bolero also crushed a woman riding a scooter.

The woman died in the incident, police said. The jeep driver is in police custody.

Police said further investigation into the accident is underway.
