Apr 25, Kathmandu- Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armin Mesinovic, have discussed the issue of concluding a labor agreement.
Today, Minister Bhandari and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in New Delhi, India, held bilateral discussions on the issue of bringing Nepali workers, the minister's private secretariat informed.
In the discussion, Deputy Chief of Mission Mesinovic had put forward a proposal including a process for a bilateral labor agreement as Bosnia would be a new destination of opportunity for Nepali workers.
In the discussion, Minister Bhandari expressed her commitment to move forward the process for a bilateral agreement. Noting that bilateral labor agreements and homework are being progressed with various European countries regarding the recruitment of Nepali workers in recent times, she said that discussions were held to conclude a labor agreement as Bosnia could also become a new labor destination for Nepali workers.
Minister Bhandari informed that the Ministry of Labor has taken the initiative to conduct necessary training for Nepali workers and send them to foreign destinations through the production of skilled manpower. He said that if there is a demand for manpower from Bosnia, skilled manpower will be prepared accordingly and sent for employment.
