Apr 27, Kathmandu- Shyam Kumar Ghimire, the chief whip of the ruling partner Nepali Congress, has targeted RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden and warned him to prove which joint general minister's son stole the bottle of liquor from Bhatbhateni.
Referring to the incident on Chaitra 15, RPP Chairman Lingden had made a statement in the House of Representatives meeting on Baisakh 12 that Bhatbhateni, the son of the Congress Joint General Secretary, was involved in the looting of goods and that he was released even after being arrested by the police. Congress Chief Whip Ghimire demanded an apology from the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday to prove this and if he could not prove it.
"There are eight joint general secretaries in the Congress, prove which of the joint general secretaries' sons walked around carrying a bottle of alcohol. If not, apologize. This matter should also be removed from the records of Parliament," he said.
